Block Paving Driveways
The most common option for any driveway installation in the last 10 years or so is block paving. Due to its versatility, colour choices and various types of laying patterns, it can tailored to suit any home.
We use only our own trained paving contractors to guarantee a high quality finish on every single paved driveway installation.
The most common option is standard block paving followed by Tegula or rumbled Tegula and then cobblestones. The first 2 options are made by manufacturers whereas the cobblestones are naturally cut stones which means the colour retention is excellent.

Tarmac and Asphalt Driveways
The next most common option for a driveway is a tarmac or asphalt driveway surface. Even though most refer to it as tarmac, we mostly lay asphalt now, or SMA as its commonly referred to. Superior finish with a more durable surface due to the higher aggregate content in it.
We recommend a contrasting border around your tarmac driveway to help tailor it a bit more or especially an apron at the start of a driveway can make a dramatic difference to the overall feel of a driveway.

Resin Bound Driveways
A late comer to the driveway surfacing option in comparison to the more traditional tarmac is the resin bound surfacing choice. Slightly more expensive than tarmac but infinitely more superior.
It can be laid on top of a pre-existing hard standing surface provided that surface is in good condition or it can be laid as a completely new installation on top of a permeable tarmac or concrete we will install first.
Available in a range of colours which is enhanced by using 2 different chip sizes and an extra grip option which is achieved by using cut glass in the mix.

Gravel Driveways
Out of all the options you have for replacing your old driveway or resurfacing an older driveway, the most affordable option is the gravel driveway option. Its affordable, permeable so permission needed and is natural so the colours will never fade!
We recommend to use a border around your gravel driveway to keep in the gravel and to provide a contrast to the gravel. Most common type of bordering for a gravel driveway is a cobble set border in a contrasting colour.
Along with bordering, if the gravel driveway is on a sloped area, we recommend getting stabilisers for the gravel to sit into on the driveway to stop it slipping down.
